Industry occupancy is continuing to rise, reaching ~84% in September, with half of WelcomeHome’s communities surpassing 87% in Q3.

Every care type and region saw occupancy gains compared to Q2. The Northeast (88.0%) and IL (87.1%) are still leading occupancy rates.

Lead volumes are up 6% (+2 leads per 100 units) from Q2, but they’re still down 6% (-2 leads per 100 units) compared to last year. IL and the South showed the biggest increase in lead volume from Q2.

Retours are up across the industry, as operators place more emphasis on existing leads due to a decline in new leads compared to last year.

+  Across WelcomeHome communities, ~80% of operators have a connection stage. The connection stage sits between the initial inquiry and the pre-tour stage.  

+ The connection stage gives Sales Directors a chance to understand the prospect’s needs and determine if their community is the right fit before they spend more time nurturing the prospect and moving forward with a tour.
